My favorite volunteer groups:
with
this group for 4 years every Tuesday to recycle flowers at the Raleigh
Moravian Church in Raleigh. As of March 2010, we have provided over
50,000 small bouquets to our community. It's a wonderful and fun group
of folks that I am blessed to work with.
- Brides Against
Breast Cancer - I added this one event to my favorites list and cannot
wait for it to return to the Raleigh area. Another great group of folks
who sell designer wedding gowns at discount prices with proceeds donated
to the Making Memories group to help out stage 4 cancer victims make
wishes come true.
- Wake Tech College - past 4 years did a
segment in the Event Planning class hosted by my dear fellow event
planner Tamara Davis of Cherished Moments to teach future event planners
how to design wedding flowers on a shoestring budget and in a hurry.
- USO - involved since 2010 and have enjoyed volunteering
working at the airport to greet military families and working on the
2010 and 2011 USO Gala committee.
